section from Umred to Nagbhid was stalled due to the presence of the Umred Karandla wildlife sanctuary. The National Board of Wildlife's approval will allow work to resume on this section. To minimize the impact on wildlife, a 17 km stretch of the track will be elevated 10-12 feet above ground, allowing animals to pass freely beneath it. The authorities hope to complete the entire Itwari-Nagbhid line by the end of the year.
