UPMRC also received the prestigious award for 'Urban Infra Sustainable Mobility Promoter of the Year', given for promoting eco-friendly modes of transportation through green initiatives. Notably, the UP Metro is the first organization in the state to participate in the Energy Exchange Program, which has resulted in a saving of 4 crore rupees in electricity over the past 1.5 years.
