2 km ka hai. Har beat pe do patrolling staff, ek trackman aur ek keyman rahenge, jo raat 10 se subah 6 tak 4 baar track check karenge. Har team 16 km daily chal ke line ka parikshan karega. GPS tracker bhi diye jaayenge, so patrolling pe nazar rakhne ke liye, aur emergency mein communication ke liye bhi. Kuch sensitive areas mein patrolling shuru ho chuki hai, so train operations band na ho. Thand mein rail fractures and fog hone ka chance badh jaata hai, isliye winter patrolling bahut important hai. Trackman Indian Railways ki ridh ki haddi hain, aur woh 24 ghanta duty pe rahte hain, chahe thand ho, garmi ho, ya kharab mausam ho.
