Both individuals confessed that they had received the brown sugar from an individual named Sonu at Imli Chowk in Adityapur and intended to sell it in Chakradharpur with a partner named Mahavir. The police are actively searching for Sonu and Mahavir, who are believed to be involved in the drug trade. This marks the first instance of brown sugar being seized at Tatanagar Station, while prior seizures included marijuana, bhang, and foreign liquor.
