Kerala government has proposed to construct viaduct in the forest area. Else like in Konkan railway, tunnels can be created. Kabini area around 20 kms forest area that too on the periphery is involved. Railway line parallel to Mysore Mananthavady road can be made. After Bavali, no issues in Kerala side. Line can go via - Mananthavady Iritty to Thalassery. Branch line to Kozhikode also be possible.
With a single train from Malabar area to Bangalore, already people are suffering. Ban of night bus traffic in Muthanga/ Bandipur national parks for more than a decade created havoc.

Atleast one line from Mysore to Kerala should be laid - Nilambur Nanjangud or Kadakola to Mananthavady or Mysore Kushalnagar Mattanur.
Without link to Kerala, Mysore will be dead end and will be dumping ground for all Bangalore trains. No development can be expected. If any of these links materialise, Kozhikode Bangalore can be covered in 9-10 hours. It will free up MAQ SRR line as well as SRR MAS line. More trains can be run from Kannur/ Kozhikode to Chennai Tirupati Vijayawada Hyderabad Pune etc.
