The operators lacked the authorization letter from the contract company, leading to the arrest of the supervisors. Further action will be taken based on the information gathered during the interrogation. The incident raised concerns about the railway administration's failure to protect passenger safety, with the blame being shifted to the electricity company. The RPF has not included the names of the contractor, Sudesh Rajput, and the supervisors in the FIR registered under sections 153, 174, and 147 of the Railway Act, raising questions about the RPF's attempt to avoid direct action against the contractor. Despite this, the Chief Engineer (Project) has issued a show-cause notice to Sudesh Rajput and temporarily suspended the registration of his company, prohibiting it from participating in tenders for the next three years. under Section 179(2) of the Railways Act. The contractor, Sudesh Rajput, has admitted that work was being carried out without a schedule and in violation of safety standards at the Urkura gate. The RPF has filed a case under sections 153, 174C, and 147. Questions have arisen regarding the permission given to the power company's contractor to work on cabling during the passage of the passenger train. The State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCLL) claims they had permission from the railway division, but railway officials claim the work was carried out without permission. The power company has issued a show-cause notice to the contracting company, Messers Siddhi Vinayak Construction Bilaspur, and suspended their registration for three years. The company's FD deposit of one crore rupees has been confiscated. The RPF has seized the drilling machine, iron pipe, water tanker, tractor, and truck from the incident site.

injuring passengers. One young man's hand was cut, and a minor sustained an eye injury. The incident resulted in injuries to at least six passengers, who were taken to both private and government hospitals. Railway officials, including the DRM Sanjiv Kumar, Senior DCM Awadhesh Trivedi, and RPF & GRP personnel, arrived at the scene and the station. After a delay of about 1.5 hours, the train was allowed to proceed to Mumbai. The DRM ordered an investigation into the accident, and a railway technical team arrived at the scene to investigate. Injured passengers included Kailash Patel (27), Raj God, and three others from Damoh district, Madhya Pradesh, who were admitted to Narayana Hospital with significant injuries. Their condition is reported to be stable.
