Mishra, a senior lawyer from Motihari, alerted the General Manager (GM) of East Central Railway and the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Samastipur about the incident. An investigation was initiated, and the Section Controller of the Samastipur Bagaha board was suspended. The investigation revealed that the platform change was done without the required permission from the DRM, leading to the suspension of the controller.

Additionally, several trains, including the 19038 Avadh Express, 13022 Mithila Express, 12557 Saptakranti Express, 05706 Delhi Katihar Humsafar Express, and 05257 Muzaffarpur Narkatiaganj, will be rescheduled. The 12557 Saptakranti Superfast Express will have a 45-minute controlled run between Muzaffarpur and Pipara on July 24th.
