He also flagged off a new MEMU train service between Dohrighat and Mau, which will benefit people in the Barhalganj and Hata areas. This new Vande Bharat Express is the 35th in the country, and will operate six days a week, excluding Tuesdays. The train departs Varanasi at 6:00 AM and reaches New Delhi at 2:05 PM, travelling via Prayagraj, Kanpur, and Chipiana. The return journey departs New Delhi at 3:00 PM and reaches Varanasi at 11:05 PM. The project is expected to accelerate economic, cultural, and industrial growth in the region.

After gauge conversion completion, on March 31st, 2023, the Commissioner of Railway Safety, Eastern Zone, along with DRM Ramashray Pandey, inspected the Indara-Dohrighat rail line. They gave the green signal for train operations and announced the operation of EMUs from Dohrighat railway station. However, train operations have not started yet. Now, with PM Modi's expected visit to Varanasi, there are murmurs about train operations resuming on the Indara-Dohrighat rail line. On Wednesday, a team of railway officials conducted a trial run of the electric engine. Stations are being cleaned and painted.
