in three years with a budget of 1120 crores. The first phase involves laying a 36 km track from Cantt to Kaptanganj, with groundwork already underway. Construction between Kaptanganj and Paniahwa is also progressing rapidly. The project includes a 854-meter bridge over the Gandak River and 16 major and 38 minor bridges. Ten crossing stations, namely Cantt, Unaula, Pipraich, Bodarwar, Kaptanganj, Ghugheli, Siswa Bazaar, Paniahwa, Valmiki Nagar, along with Mahuawa Khurd and Gurli Ramgarhwa Halt stations will be built. The project covers 89 km in Uttar Pradesh and 6 km in Bihar.

Maharajganj aur Bihar ke logo ki raah kaafi aasan ho jaayegi. Rail mantralay ne saal 2019-20 mein Gorakhpur Cantt-Valmiki Nagar 96 kilometer lamba railmarg ke doharikarana ki swikriti di thi. Teen saal mein doharikarana pura karne ka lakshya hai. Iske nirman mein 1120 crore rupees ka kharch aayega. Pehle phase mein Cantt se Kaptanganj tak kareeb 36 km rail line bichaayi jaa rahi hai. Yahan mitti ke samtalikaran ka kaam shuru kar diya gaya hai. Kaptanganj se Paniahwa tak nirman ke liye kaam tezi se chal raha hai. Route pe padne wali Gandak nadi par kareeb 854 meter lamba pul banega. Gorakhpur se Valmiki Nagar ke beech 16 bade aur 38 chhote pul banenge. Cantt, Unaula, Pipraich, Bodarwar, Kaptanganj, Ghugheli, Siswa Bazar, Paniahwa, Valmiki Nagar sahit 10 crossing stations aur Mahuawa Khurd aur Gurli Ramgarhwa Halt station banenge. Kul 96 km doharikarana mein lagbhag 89 km apne pradesh mein jabki kareeb 6 kilometer Bihar mein nirman hoga.
