Chowraha, Chhindwara, was killed. The other occupant of the car, Parmeshwar Sahoo, sustained serious injuries and was admitted to the Anuppur district hospital before being referred to Bilaspur. The impact caused damage to three coaches of the train, which was traveling from Bilaspur to Anuppur. The train was later sent on its journey after the damaged coaches were refitted. The Anuppur police were on the scene and cleared the vehicle from the railway tracks to avoid traffic disruption.

Bilaspur se chalu hone wali saari trains ab Ambikapur se chali jaayengi. Yaatriyon ko anek occasions pe suddenly pata chalata hai ki yeh express ya passenger train ab nahi jayegi. Iske saath hi, kai baar beech raste mein hi train suspend ki jaati hai. Iski wajah se hazaron ki sankhya mein aane jaane wale yaatriyon ko bahut pareshan hona padta hai. Lambe samay se railway isi tarah ka vyavhar karte aa raha hai. Petition mein kaha gaya hai ki dusri taraf maalgadiyan usi route pe continuously chalaayi jaa rahi hain. Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha aur Justice Ravindra Kumar Aggarwal ki division bench mein matter ki sunwai hui. Is dauran court ne railway se puchha ki kya wajah hai ki yaatri trains suddenly badi sankhya mein cancel ki jaa rahi hain.
