Mhow station for at least 15 days. During this period, all express and superfast trains originating from Mhow will be operated from Indore or Lakshmibai Nagar, further adding to the congestion at Indore station. This decision was made because Mhow station, with its limited platform capacity, currently accommodates maintenance of several trains. The mega block is expected to be lifted in May, after which the Ujjain-Ajmer special train could potentially be run from Indore or Lakshmibai Nagar. However, the final decision will be made by the Ratlam Railway Division. The doubling project will add four platforms to Mhow station, and some Indore trains could be extended to Mhow to alleviate the pressure on Indore station.

The Rau-Mahu doubling and Mahu-Patalpani broad gauge line projects are in their final stages. The Mahu railway station is also undergoing yard remodeling, which involves removing extra lines, signal installation, and adding new lines. This work is expected to take 15 to 20 days to complete. Several trains will be affected by this block, including the Malwa Express, Kamakhya Express, Yashwantpur, Prayagraj, and Rewa Express, which will be operated from Indore or Ujjain. The Mahu-Bhopal Intercity will also be operated from Indore. The DEMU train running from Mahu to Ratlam will be short-terminated at Indore.
