The South Eastern Zone Vigilance Team uncovered the scam on April 16th at Birbans Station, leading to the arrests of three youths and an agent. The three youths were released after recording their statements, while the agent, David, was released on bail. The Railway Police are pursuing the remaining suspects, including Arun and Shantanu from Kolkata. Statements from the victims will be recorded in court, and warrants for the arrests of the accused will be issued.

As Chaibasa is the headquarters of Kolhan, railway employees are also demanding more trains from Chakradharpur to Chaibasa. The increased passenger flow is prompting the railways to install lifts and escalators at Chaibasa station. The project also includes the approval of foot over bridges and other amenities for eight stations, including Rairangpur, Gamharia, Sini, Ghatsila, and others along the Odisha route.

The bus driver fled the scene after the accident. Local residents and Sini police helped to get Mahto to the Sadar Hospital in Saraikela, where he was treated for a fractured left leg and severe back injuries. The bus and motorcycle were taken to the police station for investigation. The accident caused a traffic jam on the Kharsawan-Sini road for about half an hour.
