via Asansol-Jhajha-Patna instead of Dhanbad. The 13305/13306 Dhanbad-Sasaram Intercity will only reach Gaya instead of Sasaram from February 16th to 23rd. The 13553 Asansol-Varanasi Memu Express will be controlled between Dhanbad and Son Nagar for three hours on February 22nd. Several other trains will also be affected, with some running via Asansol-Kiul-Patna and others via Muri-Barkakana-Chopan-Chunar.

The budget also allocates funds for doubling the DC line between Dhanbad and Chandrapura, particularly the 7.3 km single-line stretch from Jamuniatand to Chandrapura. Other projects approved include a flyover near Gomoh station (50 crore rupees), doubling the line between Pradhan Khanta and Sindri (10 crore rupees), and a new railway line between Parasnath, Madhuban, and Giridih (49 km). The budget also includes plans for doubling the Garhwa Road-Ramna line, laying three lines between Dhanbad and Sonnagar (291 km), a 10 km ROR project in Garhwa Road, doubling the 17.1 km line between Pradhan Khanta, Pathardih Bazar, and Bhojudih, establishing a Sindri marshalling yard, multi-tracking from Sonnagar to Andal, and replacing level crossings with overbridges and underpasses at various locations.
