(GRP) apprehended Mohammad Shamim, alias Golu, on Thursday. The accused confessed to throwing stones to steal mobile phones from passengers sitting near the train door. He intended to cause the mobile phones to fall to the ground by hitting them with the stones. Shamim is a resident of Unchawagadhi, under the Cantt police station of Prayagraj district and has been arrested previously for other offenses.
