The Chenab Bridge, built over the Chenab River gorge in Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir, stands taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris at a height of 359 meters. Construction works for the USBRL project are nearing completion with only tunnel No. 1 partially unfinished. A two-day inspection of the 46-km Sangaldan-Reasi section of the USBRL, including the Chenab Bridge, is scheduled for June 27th and 28th by the Railways Safety Commissioner D.C. Deshwal.
