भी रेणुकूट-अंबिकापुर मार्ग के लिए प्रस्ताव पारित कर केंद्र सरकार को भेज दिया है। रेणुकूट-अंबिकापुर रेल मार्ग 152.30 किलोमीटर लंबा है, जबकि बरवाडीह से अंबिकापुर रेल मार्ग की दूरी 199.98 किलोमीटर है। यह कम लागत की भी होगी। रेलवे सलाहकार समिति के सदस्य मुकेश तिवारी ने बताया कि रेलवे बोर्ड में बरवाडीह और रेणुकूट दोनों के लिए अंबिकापुर से सर्वे का काम हुआ है। दोनों के डीपीआर पर रेल बोर्ड में विचार-मंथन चल रहा है। उन्होंने बताया कि जल्द ही इस दिशा में कोई शुभ संकेत मिल सकता है।

Barwadih ambikapur is outdated currently in my opinion , it was 400 km shorter route during British era when Mumbai Kolkata was connected via allahabad but now it's not needed and won't fetch ROI.

Renukut ambikapur is only less than a decade old proposal. I hope it to be materialized soon. Wyndahmganj to ambikapur will be little shorter but won't be beneficial for passenger traffic as compared to renukut ambikapur.
