Key new lines and projects include: Lalitpur-Satna, Rewa-Singrauli, and Mahoba-Khajuraho new railway line (541 km) - ₹850 crore, Ramganjmandi-Bhopal new railway line (262 km) - ₹523 crore, Jabalpur-Indore new railway line (342 km) - ₹1107 crore, Budni-Barkheda third line - ₹200 crore, Katni-Singrauli doubling (261 km) - ₹400 crore, Katni-Bina third line (278 km) - ₹350 crore, and Katni grade separator viaduct (21.5 km) - ₹300 crore. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Jabalpur Express (11450) will travel via Jhansi-Satna-Katni-Katni South on September 11th.
