Funny thing happened when going from LKO-Amausi. Both UP and DN Memu's were stopped at a railway crossing because the crossing couldn't be closed due to heavy traffic. Some bus driver had even lodged his vehicle right in the middle, leading to furthur complications. This lead to more chaos and couple of more trains were left standing as I saw at Amausi. This was happening only a few minutes before the NDLS bound Shatabdi was supposed to pass via that route.

Lying ten kms from Lucknow NR, this station lies five kms from the Lucknow airport. The airport itself was known as Amausi airport before the renaming. The station has a highway going next to it for easy accessibility and three Platforms. Only passenger trains stop here.
Station is being renovated, judging from the rather new buildings at first platform. It used to see decent activity when LKO CNB EMU system used to run at full throttle[ now it sees only two EMUs per day instead of four times this nos. before]....
