महाकुंभ के दौरान ट्रेनों के सुगम आवागमन के लिए रेलवे द्वारा प्रयागराज यार्ड की रिमॉडलिंग की जा रही है। इस वजह से प्रयागराज जंक्शन पर आने वाली 69 ट्रेनों को डायवर्ट किया गया है। फिलहाल वाराणसी से नई दिल्ली जाने वाली दोनों वंदे भारत का प्रयागराज जंक्शन पर 18 से 21 अक्तूबर तक आगमन-प्रस्थान नहीं होगा। वाराणसी से दोनों वंदे भारत वाया लखनऊ, कानपुर होकर संचालित होंगी। इसके अलावा आगरा-वाराणसी वंदे भारत 19 से 21 अक्तूबर तक प्रयागराज जंक्शन नहीं आएगी।
