Captain Anshuman Singh, an officer of the Indian Army, was a remarkable soldier known for his courage, leadership, and unwavering commitment to his country. He was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra, India's second-highest peacetime gallantry award, for his bravery in a counter-terrorism operation.

During a challenging mission, Captain Singh led his team against heavily armed terrorists. Displaying exceptional valor, he advanced towards the enemy, leading from the front despite the grave danger to his life. His fearless actions played a crucial role in neutralizing the threat, saving the lives of his team members and preventing further harm to civilians.

Unfortunately, Captain Anshuman Singh made the ultimate sacrifice during this operation. His selflessness and dedication to duty left a lasting impact, and he is remembered as a hero who exemplified the highest standards of military service.

The new livery on the 40005 WDP 4B locomotive, with its striking dark pink, grey, and yellow colors, serves as a tribute to Captain Singh’s legacy. It’s a visual reminder of his bravery and the sacrifices made by the armed forces to protect the nation. The tribute through the locomotive honors not just his memory but also the values he stood for—courage, sacrifice, and patriotism.💪
