Special opening trip of Vande Bharat Express in both directions on September 16, 2024. With an increase in the number of coaches for the Vande Bharat Express running between New Delhi and Varanasi, the special opening trip will be held on September 16, 2024. This train, already running in both directions (train numbers 22436/22435 and 22415/22416), will now operate with a new setup of 20 coaches. Opening trip from New Delhi to Varanasi (train number 04016) On September 16, 2024, train number 04016 will leave New Delhi at 11:00 AM and will stop at these stations: Aligarh (12:25 - 12:30 PM) Tundla (1:10 - 1:15 PM) Etawah (2:05 - 2:10 PM) Kanpur Central (3:40 - 3:45 PM) Prayagraj (5:50 - 5:55 PM) and will arrive in Varanasi at 8:00 PM. Opening trip from Varanasi to New Delhi (train number 04015) On the same day, train number 04015 will leave Varanasi at 11:00 AM and will stop at these stations: Prayagraj (12:35 - 12:50 PM) Kanpur Central (2:45 - 3:00 PM) Etawah (4:15 - 4:25 PM) Tundla (5:20 - 5:30 PM) Aligarh (6:25 - 6:35 PM) and will arrive in New Delhi at 8:15 PM. Increased number of coaches and facilities The already running Vande Bharat Express (22436/22435 and 22415/22416) will now have 20 coaches, including 2 driving trailer coaches (DTC), 10 motor coaches (MC), 5 trailer coaches (TC), 2 executive chair cars (NDTC/EC), and 1 chair car (NDTC/CC). This new setup will make the journey even more comfy and convenient. Regular operation After this opening trip, train numbers 22436/22435 and 22415/22416 will operate regularly with the new coach setup starting from September 17, 2024. These trains will now run six days a week (22436/22435 except Thursday and 22416/22415 except Tuesday) and provide passengers with new and upgraded facilities. The railway department has been instructed to promote the opening trip widely so that the public knows about this new service and can benefit from it.
