Of these, 20 were killed and two were injured. Local residents expressed concern about the frequent sight of cows roaming freely on roads, often abandoned by their owners after their milk production declines. Although the district has several government-run and private cow shelters, the issue of abandoned cows persists, with inadequate facilities at some shelters. This unfortunate incident highlights the need for better care and management of stray cows to prevent such tragedies from occurring.
