Vande Metro is must needed at Lucknow Kanpur Suburban Railways.
There used to be MEMU Local services every half to one hour on this route before COVID but after COVID, only 3 pairs of MEMU trains are operating on this route, one in morning, second in afternoon and third in evening.

Finally the day has come in NR.
All Passenger (Ordinary), MEMU and DEMU trains will run with their Pre-covid number series from 1 July.
Before covid, Passenger (Ordinary) trains used to run with the number 5 in the beginning and MEMU and DEMU with 6 and 7 respectively.
But after COVID lockdown, all trains were cancelled and some trains were used to re-run time...

Mere paas ek suggestion hai regarding a new train from Kanpur Central (CNB) to Lucknow Charbagh (LKO)/Lucknow Junction (LJN) via Unnao Jn. (ON) - Balamau Jn. (BLM).
Ye ek MEMU ya Passenger train honi chahiye jiska purpose beech ke route ke stations ko aapas me connect Krna ho.
Unnao Balamau route pe kai aise major towns hai jo ki road se bahut achhe se linked hai but train se nhi. Jaise ki Safipur, Bangarmau, Mallawan, Madhoganj. Aur Lucknow Balamau section ke kuch stations jaise ki Sandila, Balamau, Kakori, Malihabad.

One problem with running LKO-CNB EMU services is that trains are often delayed[even the few existing services] due to overtakes. Hence, IR should run MEMU trains stopping NOT at the intermediate stations. This will make them more resilient to overtakes and make end to end travel faster. After all, most folks, just travel end to end b/w LKO and CNB and not to the intervening stations.
They can run services starting from LKO, stoppage at Manaknagar, Unnao and finally Kanpur.

There are ongoing works of Electric Line Quadrupling is going on at Lucknow - Dilkhusha Cabin section and Malhaur - Barabanki Section but in atlas, it is showing electric line tripling.
