Developing an additional terminal for the fourth largest city in South India in terms of population, is the need of the hour! The SR with proper co-ordination with the state government and the municipal corporation has to urge in developing a new terminal at Podanur Junction. TNSTC CBE should connect PTJ with all the 9 major arterial roads through the 4 major bus stations and the CBE Main JN round the clock. Completion of flyover work at Nanjundapuram on IGU-PTJ line will help in passengers to approach the eastern Coimbatore without passing through the congested streets of Ukkadam and Townhall. The neck lock that happens in Aathuppalam which would be the major entry point for the second terminal can be broadened by commencing the proposed Aathuppaalam flyover. By this the so called traffic in CBE Main and on the roads to it will reduce to a greater extent and will definitely give a new look to the much bigger Coimbatore, besides reducing the travel time to the god's own land. Connecting PTJ and IGU VIA Vellalore, Singanallur Bus Station, Airport's Southern Entry can be considered later on.
