more... রেলপথে মাস ছয়েক আগে তৃতীয় লাইন বসানোর কাজ শেষ হলেও রেল পরিষেবার কোনও উন্নতি ঘটেনি বলে অভিযোগ। এর ফলে যাত্রীদের ক্ষোভ বাড়ছে। রেল সূত্রে জানা যায়, মালগাড়ি সহজে যাতে যাতায়াত করতে পারে, তার জন্য গত বছর দু’দফায় বর্ধমান-সাহেবগঞ্জ রুটে রামপুরহাট থেকে সাধীনপুর, চাতরা ও মুরারই স্টেশন পর্যন্ত তৃতীয় লাইন বসানোর কাজ করেছিল রেল। এর ফলে গত বছর পুজোর আগে রামপুরহাট, সাধীনপুর ও চাতরা স্টেশনের মাঝে তৃতীয় লাইনের কাজের জন্য এক টানা ২১ দিন ট্রেন চলাচল ব্যাহত হয়েছিল। পরে মাস দুয়েকের ব্যবধানে আবারও চাতরা ও মুরারই স্টেশনের মাঝে তৃতীয় লাইনের কাজের জন্য ১০ ডিসেম্বর থেকে ১ জানুয়ারি ট্রেন চলাচলে বিঘ্ন ঘটে। দুই দফাতেই চরম ভোগান্তিতে পড়তে হয় যাত্রীদের।
কিন্তু, তৃতীয় লাইন করেও কাজের কাজ কিছু হয়নি বলে অভিযোগ করেছেন রামপুরহাট মহকুমা যাত্রী সঙ্ঘের সদস্য অনিল কুমার বোথরা। তাঁর দাবি, ‘‘ছ’মাসের বেশি সময় হল সাঁইথিয়া থেকে মুরারই পর্যন্ত তৃতীয় লাইনের কাজ শেষ হয়েছে। এর জন্য দু’দফায় বিভিন্ন এক্সপ্রেস, মেল এবং প্যাসেঞ্জার ট্রেন দীর্ঘদিন বন্ধ ছিল। ভোগান্তি সয়ে যাত্রীরা যাত্রীরা আশায় ছিলেন, এ বারঠিক সময়ে ট্রেনগুলি চলাচল করবে। কিন্তু, তৃতীয় লাইনের হওয়ার পরেও ট্রেন পরিষেবার কোনও উন্নতি হয়নি। নতুন ট্রেনও মেলেনি।’’
একই অভিযোগ রামপুরহাট ডেলি প্যাসেঞ্জার অ্যাসোসিয়শনের সভাপতি নিয়ামত আলির। তিনি বলেন, ‘‘রামপুরহাট থেকে হাওড়াগামী বিশ্বভারতী ফাস্ট প্যাসেঞ্জার প্রায় প্রতিদিনই দেরিতে রামপুরহাট ছাড়ছে। কারণ, বার হারোয়া থেকে বিশ্বভারতীর সংযোগকারী ট্রেন দেরিতে পৌঁছচ্ছে। তৃতীয় লাইনের কাজ হলেও এলাকার মানুষের চাহিদা অনুযায়ী বর্ধমান বা মালদহ, প্যাসেঞ্জার এখনও চালু হয়নি। বন্দেভারত, শতাব্দী এক্সপ্রেস, দার্জিলিং মেল-সহ নানা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ট্রেনের স্টপ এখনও নেই রামপুরহাটে।’’ রামপুরহাটের বাসিন্দা ও নিত্যযাত্রী সৌগত রায় জানান, তৃতীয় লাইনের কাজ হলেও বিভিন্ন লোকাল ট্রেনের সঠিক সময়ে চলাচল এখনও ঠিক হয়নি।
অন্য দিকে, নলহাটি স্টেশনে রেল পরিষেবার উন্নতির দাবিতে আগামী ১৪ জুলাই রেল রোকো আন্দোলনের ডাক দেওয়া হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন লহাটি নাগরিক মঞ্চের সভাপতি সনকা বিশ্বাস। মুরারই নাগরিক মঞ্চের সদস্য অনির্বাণজ্যোতি সিংহ বলেন, ‘‘একমাত্র তেভাগা এক্সপ্রেস ছাড়া কোনও ট্রেন নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে চলাচল করছে না। নতুন করে কোনও লোকাল ট্রেনও রেল কর্তৃপক্ষ দেননি। তৃতীয় লাইন দিয়ে কেবলমাত্র মালগাড়ি চলাচল বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। এ ছাড়া কিছুই হয়নি।’’ তারাপীঠ মন্দির কমিটিও রেল পরিষেবা নিয়ে ক্ষুব্ধ। কমিটির সভাপতি তারাময় মুখোপাধ্যায় জানান, বন্দেভারত ও শতাব্দী এক্সপ্রেস রামপুরহাটে থামার বিষয়ে রেলের আধিকারিকেরা বহু আশ্বাস দিলেও তা হয়নি।
পূর্ব রেলের মুখ্য জনসংযোগ আধিকারিক কৌশিক মিত্র অবশ্য জানান, তৃতীয় লাইন হওয়ার ফলে মালগাড়ি যাওয়ার জন্য আলাদা একটা লাইন হয়েছে। যাত্রিবাহী ট্রেনের জন্য বাকি দু’টি লাইন আছে। বিভিন্ন ট্রেনের স্টপ প্রসঙ্গে তিনি বলেন, ‘‘দাবিগুলি বিবেচনা করে রেল কর্তৃপক্ষ স্টপের সিদ্ধান্ত নেন।’’ তৃতীয় লাইন হওয়ার পরেও বিভিন্ন ট্রেন দেরিতে চলার অভিযোগের বিষয়ে তিনি খোঁজ নেবেন বলে জানিয়েছেন।
