On May 27, the Railway Safety Commissioner's officials will inspect the track to ensure the commencement of train operations on the second line. The doubling of the 9.5 km Rau-Mhow railway line, initiated in March 2023, has been completed. The work on platform 1 of the Mhow railway station is also finished. The railway construction department will complete the remaining work before the Railway Safety Commissioner's inspection on May 27. During the closure, two pairs of passenger trains and four pairs of DEMU trains will be completely suspended between Indore and Mhow. The Prayagraj Express and Patna Special will operate from Lakshmibai Nagar, while the Indore-Bilaspur-Indore Narmada Express and Mhow-Rewa-Mhow Express will operate from Ujjain. Indore and Mahu suspended. The Ratlam Railway Division of Western Railway has issued temporary modifications to trains passing through Indore and Mahu. Mahu station will be closed until May 27th, when the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) will inspect the doubled Rau-Mahu line, station, and yard at Mahu to authorize train operations. Train services between Indore and Mahu will be completely halted from May 11th to 27th, requiring passengers and daily commuters to rely on buses or private vehicles. Six passenger and DEMU trains operating between Indore and Mahu during the block will be canceled. The Mahu-Kamakhya Weekly Express on May 12th and 19th will depart from Indore, potentially delayed due to maintenance issues. The Mahu-Yashvantpur Weekly Express on May 12th, 19th, and 26th will operate from Indore. All DEMU trains between Mahu and Ratlam will run from Indore instead of Mahu from May 11th to 27th. The Mahu-Nagpur Express on May 14th and 21st will depart from Indore instead of Mahu. The Mahu-Patna Weekly Special Train (Lakshmibai Nagar) will leave from Lakshmibai Nagar on May 16th and 23rd. The Mahu-Prayagraj Express will operate from Lakshmibai Nagar in Indore from May 11th to 27th. Due to the mega block, the Indore-Bilaspur Narmada Express will run as Bilaspur-Ujjain from May 11th to 27th, while the Mahu-Rewa Trisaptah Weekly Express will operate as Rewa-Ujjain from May 13th to 24th. Passengers from Indore traveling on the Narmada and Rewa Expresses will have to travel to and from Ujjain.
