Additionally, the minister announced plans to build a new 55 km rail line connecting Ludhiana-Mullanpur, Ludhiana Kila-Raipur, and Nangal Dam-Talwara Mukerian at a cost of Rs 2,400 crore. Furthermore, 30 stations in Punjab will be redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, including Amritsar, Anandpur Sahib, Nangal Dam, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Bathinda, Mansa, Kotkapura, Moga, Sirhind, Abohar, Fazilka, Firozpur Cantt, Mukatsar, Gurdaspur, Pathankot Cantt, Pathankot city, Hoshiarpur, Phagwara, Jalandhar Cantt, Jalandhar city, Phillaur, Beas, Kapurthala, Dhandari kalan, Ludhiana, Patiala, Dhuri, Malerkotla, and Sangrur.
