the current Rajpura-Ambala route. The DPR for the project was initially prepared in 2016-17 with a cost of Rs 312.53 crore, but no action was taken despite reminders to the Punjab government. The new DPR will be prepared and shared with the Punjab government for further action. The 38.880 km long rail link will cover 43.192 hectares in SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala districts. Additionally, the minister announced plans to build a new 55 km rail line connecting Ludhiana-Mullanpur, Ludhiana Kila-Raipur, and Nangal Dam-Talwara Mukerian at a cost of Rs 2,400 crore. Furthermore, 30 stations in Punjab will be redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, including Amritsar, Anandpur Sahib, Nangal Dam, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Bathinda, Mansa, Kotkapura, Moga, Sirhind, Abohar, Fazilka, Firozpur Cantt, Mukatsar, Gurdaspur, Pathankot Cantt, Pathankot city, Hoshiarpur, Phagwara, Jalandhar Cantt, Jalandhar city, Phillaur, Beas, Kapurthala, Dhandari kalan, Ludhiana, Patiala, Dhuri, Malerkotla, and Sangrur.

55 km kam hoga. Is project ka DPR pehle 2016-17 me Rs 312.53 crore ke cost se prepare kiya gaya tha, par Punjab government ko reminders dene ke baad bhi koi action nahi liya gaya. New DPR prepare kiya jaayega aur Punjab government ke saath share kiya jaayega aage ke actions ke liye. Yeh 38.880 km lamba rail link SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib aur Patiala district me 43.192 hectares cover karega.
