Bharat will offer an alternative to the existing Rajdhani Express, which is currently considered one of the best services of Indian Railways. While the switch to Vande Bharat is expected to happen gradually, it will take time to manufacture the required number of trains. In the meantime, Shatabdi trains will be deployed on other routes. Indian Railways is also exploring the feasibility of a 'Vande Bharat Metro' service with metro-like coaches for urban transportation.

Shatabdi aur Rajdhani Express services ko replace karenge. Naya Sleeper Vande Bharat existing Rajdhani Express ka alternative banega, jo ki currently Indian Railways ki best services mein se ek maani jati hai. Vande Bharat pe shift gradually hoga, lekin zaruri number mein trains banane mein time lagega. Is time mein Shatabdi trains ko dusre routes pe chalaya jayega. Indian Railways 'Vande Bharat Metro' service bhi start karne ki feasibility check kar raha hai, jismein metro-like coaches honge aur yeh urban transportation system mein chala jayega.
