The Detailed Project Report (DPR) prepared by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is currently under review by the Kerala government, with approval expected soon. The DMRC will submit the final DPR to Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) after the model code of conduct is lifted, aiming for a June deadline. The project is intended to address traffic congestion in Thiruvananthapuram, particularly with the anticipated growth of the Vizhinjam Port and IT sector. The budget includes provisions for civil, electrical, signalling, and telecommunication works, rolling stock, environmental protection, and rehabilitation initiatives. This metro project is a crucial part of the city's comprehensive mobility plan, aiming to manage projected peak hour traffic of 19,747 by 2051.

DMRC, model code of conduct lift hone ke baad, final DPR Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) ko submit karega, jiska target date June hai. Project, Thiruvananthapuram mein traffic congestion ko handle karne ke liye hai, khaas karke Vizhinjam Port aur IT sector ke growth ke saath. Budget mein civil, electrical, signalling, aur telecommunication works, rolling stock, environmental protection, aur rehabilitation initiatives ke liye provisions hain. Ye metro project, city ke comprehensive mobility plan ka ek crucial part hai, jiska aim 2051 tak projected peak hour traffic 19,747 ko manage karna hai.
