Industry and trade body urges railways to run night train between Karaikal and Bengaluru via Tiruchi

The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Nagapattinam has requested the Southern Railway to introduce a daily overnight express train connecting Karaikal and Bengaluru, passing through Nagore, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruchi, Namakkal, and Salem. Town train (16844/16843), the Erode-Tiruchi Junction-Erode train (06612/06611), and the Madurai-Punalur-Madurai train (16729/16730). Additionally, the chamber has requested the replacement of the level-crossing gate near Nagapattinam railway station with a subway to address traffic issues, and has advocated for the inclusion of Nagapattinam and Nagore stations in the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme for improvement and funding.
