Delhi on Wednesday. UPMRC also received the prestigious award for 'Urban Infra Sustainable Mobility Promoter of the Year', given for promoting eco-friendly modes of transportation through green initiatives. Notably, the UP Metro is the first organization in the state to participate in the Energy Exchange Program, which has resulted in a saving of 4 crore rupees in electricity over the past 1.5 years. UPMRC has also built a vast green corridor covering 1.1 lakh square meters. The Managing Director was also awarded for the rapid construction of the Kanpur and Agra Metro projects. MD Sushil Kumar stated that the awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of UPMRC's employees.
