more... Track construction is underway on the 1250-meter long up-line stretch between Nayaganj and Kanpur Central Station. The welding and laying of tracks in the 1250-meter long up-line tunnel from Kanpur Central Station to Nayaganj Station is finished. The underground metro track, like the elevated track, is ballast-less. A mass spring system has been incorporated into the track to absorb vibration and noise during train operation. The UPMRC Managing Director, Sushil Kumar, has stated that the Kanpur Metro team has also commenced work on track construction on the downline towards Nayaganj Station at a fast pace.
