Previously, to manage the increase in passenger train services, 575 goods train drivers were assigned to passenger train duties, and 729 loco pilots were promoted in April. Additionally, technical staff with ITI and Diploma qualifications were given orders to become loco pilots. The Chakradharpur Division recently promoted 153 loco pilots, enabling those previously involved in engine shunting to operate freight trains.
