to the Puranapul Chowki in-charge, Dhirendra Tiwari, information was received from locals about the incident. Upon reaching the spot, a mobile number was discovered on a piece of paper in the deceased's pocket. This number helped identify the deceased as 25-year-old Umesh Gupta, a resident of Jaalhupur (Chaubepur). Umesh, the youngest of three brothers, ran a general store in Jaalhupur. He had left his store around 9:30 AM to purchase goods. He was unmarried.

Wahan pahunchne pe, ladke ki jeb mein ek mobile number mila ek kagaz par likha hua. Is number se ladke ki pehchan Jaalhupur (Chaubepur) wale 25 saal ke Umesh Gupta ke roop mein hui. Umesh, apne teen bhaiyon mein sabse chhota tha, Jaalhupur mein ek general store chalaata tha. Vo subah 9:30 baje apni dukaan se paisa lekar saaman kharidne ke liye nikla tha. Umesh ki shaadi nahi hui thi.
