Though the railway officials arrived at the site after the accident, passengers reported delays. The incident resembled the previous year's Koramandal Express accident, raising concerns.

the Sabarmati Express, traveling at speed, couldn't stop in time. Koi jaan nahin gayi, but kuchh pravasio ko chhoti chhoti chot aayi. Railway officials ne accident ke baad maidaan par pahunche, par pravasio ne delay ki complain ki. Ye incident, pichle saal ke Koramandal Express accident se milta julta tha.
