western and eastern parts of the state and make it easier for people from Meerut and surrounding areas to travel to Allahabad High Court and its Lucknow bench. The minister also announced that Meerut will be connected to Hastinapur and Bijnor by rail. He also inspected Meerut City railway station and stated that it will be made world-class. A detailed project report (DPR) for the Meerut-Hastinapur-Bijnor rail link has already been prepared, and work on it is underway. Vaishnaw also hinted at the possibility of work on the Meerut-Panipat rail line.
