The Kalka-Shimla railway, a 117-year-old heritage site, is facing environmental and maintenance challenges exacerbated by construction activities and inadequate fire line clearance. The disruption not only affects train schedules but also causes distress to passengers. The railway authorities are deploying teams to manage and extinguish the fires, but persistent fires remain a significant challenge. Over 100 forest fires have been reported in Himachal Pradesh over the past three to four days.

90 minutes late ho gayi. Dharampur-Kumarhatti ke paas bhi aag lagne ki wajah se 52460 Express train jungle ke beech mein ruk gayi, jisse baad ki trains bhi affected hui. Kalka-Shimla railway, jo 117 saal purani hai, abhi environment aur maintenance challenges face kar rahi hai, aur iss problem ko construction activities aur fire line clearance na hone ki wajah se aur badha hai. Trains band hone se na sirf schedule affected ho raha hai, par passengers ko bhi problem aa rahi hai. Railway authorities fires ko control karne aur passengers ki safety ke liye teams laga rahe hain, par aag lagne ki problem abhi bhi bahut badi hai. Last 3-4 din mein Himachal Pradesh mein 100 se zyada forest fires report hue hain.
