Despite this, the Tata Nagar-Berhampur train continues to run with more than half of its seats empty, despite the railway introducing stops at various stations. There are concerns that the train's current route through Chaibasa, rather than its initial planned route via Hijli-Balasore, may be contributing to the low passenger turnout. Experts suggest that running the train via Hijli-Balasore during the same time slot could lead to a surge in demand, similar to other popular Vande Bharat routes.
