Mumbai: Central Railway Installs 4,626 CCTV Cameras in Suburban Local Trains to Ensure Women’s Safety

Central Railway has enhanced women's safety on local and express trains by installing 4,626 CCTV cameras in 771 women's coaches of suburban local trains and 2,820 CCTV cameras in 456 coaches of other trains. Additionally, 6 compartments in first and second class of 12 railway coaches are reserved for women and security personnel from Maharashtra Railway Police, Railway Protection Force, Home Guards, and Maharashtra Security Force are deployed in these coaches, particularly at night. All CCTV footage is stored for 30 days for investigations.

Iske alawa, 12 railway coaches ke first aur second class mein 6 compartments sirf auraton ke liye reserve kiye gaye hain aur Maharashtra Railway Police, Railway Protection Force, Home Guards, aur Maharashtra Security Force ke staff ko in coaches mein deploy kiya gaya hai, khass kar raat mein. Saare CCTV footage ko 30 dinon tak investigation ke liye store kiya jata hai.
