4 important Visakhapatnam-based projects overlooked in Union Budget 2024

The 2024 Union Budget allocated Rs 15,000 crore for the development of Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, and provided funding for projects like the Polavaram Project and Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor. However, residents of Visakhapatnam expressed disappointment as the Budget did not include any support for key projects in their city,...

including the Visakhapatnam Metro Rail, the South Coast Railway zone, and the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. The Metro Rail project, planned for 76.90 km with 4 corridors, has faced delays due to changes in the Detailed Project Report (DPR). The establishment of the South Coast Railway zone is also facing delays due to land acquisition issues. The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is facing financial difficulties, and it was hoped that the budget would provide funding to support its operations. projects ke liye koi support nahin hai, jaise ki Visakhapatnam Metro Rail, South Coast Railway zone aur Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Metro Rail project, jo ki 76.90 km lamba hai aur 4 corridors hai, Detailed Project Report (DPR) mein changes ki wajah se delay ho raha hai. South Coast Railway zone bhi land acquisition issues ki wajah se delay ho raha hai. Visakhapatnam Steel Plant financial difficulties se joodha hai, aur aasha thi ki budget mein iske operations ke liye funding aayega. Visakhapatnam se Bhogapuram International Airport tak 6-lane road, jismein Gostani River pe ek iconic bridge bhi hai, bhi bahut bada funding challenge face kar raha hai. Budget mein in projects ke liye support na aane se inke future aur Visakhapatnam ke overall development ke bare mein chinta ho rahi hai.
