more... The taluka of Dwarka recorded a massive 21 inches of rain in 34 hours, while Junagadh, Vanthali, and Mendarda talukas received heavy rainfall as well. Porbandar saw an additional three inches of rain on Saturday. Amidst the heavy rains, Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya visited his constituency to assess the situation and coordinate relief efforts. In Junagadh, 39 villages remained cut off for the third consecutive day due to flooding and road closures. Relief efforts were underway with 10 teams of NDRF deployed in the affected districts. The rains also caused 16 reservoirs to overflow, leading to an alert being issued for 36 reservoirs and 25 dams, including Sardar Sarovar dam, which are filled up to 50 to 70 per cent of their capacity.
