Konkan Railway service disrupted second time in 2 weeks due to heavy rains

Due to a landslide on Sunday evening, fifteen trains were cancelled on the Ratnagiri section of the Konkan Railway between Diwankhawati and Vinhere stations. Initially, officials estimated a three-hour disruption, but Konkan Railway spokesperson Baban Ghate stated that track movement was expected to resume only Monday evening. The IMD issued a rainfall alert for several states including coastal parts of Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, and Goa due to heavy rainfall expected in Konkan and Goa on July 15 and 16.

Officials ne pehle toh 3 ghante ka disruption ka estimate diya tha, lekin Konkan Railway ke spokesperson Baban Ghate ne kaha ki track movement Monday evening tak resume hone ki ummid hai. IMD ne Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka aur Goa ke coastal parts ke liye rainfall alert jaari kiya hai, kyunki Konkan aur Goa mein 15 aur 16 July ko heavy rainfall hone ki ummid hai.
