The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission of Chandigarh ruled in favor of the couple, finding IRCTC and Indian Railways liable for the inconvenience. The Commission ordered a refund of Rs 477.70 for the tickets along with 9% interest from December 13, 2022, and Rs 10,000 in compensation for mental agony and harassment.

Jab unhone IRCTC se refund maanga toh unhe yeh kehte hue refuse kar diya gaya ki unhone boarding station pe 72 hours ke andar apply nahin kiya tha. Chandigarh ke District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission ne couple ke favour mein decision diya, IRCTC aur Indian Railways ko inconvenience ke liye jawabdeh thahraaya. Commission ne ticket ke liye Rs 477.70 ki refund ke saath 13 December, 2022 se 9% interest aur mental agony aur harassment ke liye Rs 10,000 ka compensation dene ka order diya.
