Indian Railways has introduced a new initiative for passenger convenience. Train Ticket Examiners (TTEs) will now be equipped with medical kits to provide basic first aid to passengers in emergencies on board moving trains. They can consult a doctor over the phone and provide medication for a fee of 50 rupees....

TTEs will be required to prepare a medical report containing details of the passenger, the treatment provided, and the doctor consulted. The medical kit will include common medications for fever, vomiting, diarrhea, minor injuries, eye drops, and bandages.
