Now, after a meeting between Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and MP H.D. Kumaraswamy, the project is expected to be included in the upcoming Union Budget. The project requires 1,735 acres of land and the estimated cost is ₹1,382.78 crore, to be shared equally by the State government and Railways.
