The Haryana government highlights the line's benefits including affordability, safety, speed, comfort, reliability, and environmental friendliness. Additionally, Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar announced that Prime Minister Modi will approve the extension of the Metro to connect Gurgaon with Faridabad. Separately, Afcons Infrastructure secured a Rs. 1141.32 crore contract for the construction of the Pink Line under package KBC3 of the Kochi Metro Phase 2 Project. This package involves building an elevated viaduct and 10 elevated stations connecting Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to Infopark II. The project is expected to be completed within 600 days. Kochi Metro Phase 2, approved by the Kerala government in July 2018, spans 11.2 km and features 11 elevated stations along the Pink Line. The project awaits approval of a USD 122.3 million loan from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
