was successfully trialled in March 2020, where two trains were driven at 160 km/h on the same track and the device brought them to a stop within 350 meters. Despite its success, the device has not been widely implemented. Following the recent Kanchenjunga Express accident in West Bengal, calls for Kavach devices have intensified across all railway zones. Experts highlight that the device's digital system automatically stops the train in case of driver negligence or any technical malfunction. The computerized system ensures safe train operations at designated speeds and automatically interlocks brakes based on train conditions.

mein, Railway ne Kavach device ka trial kiya tha, do trains ko 160 km/h speed pe same track pe chalake. Device ne 350 meter ki doori pe train ko khud se rok diya tha. Success ke baad bhi, device ko saari long distance trains pe nahi lagaaya gaya hai. West Bengal mein Kanchenjunga Express ka accident ke baad, har railway zone mein Kavach device ki demand badh gayi hai. Train operation experts kehte hain ki Kavach ki digital system ki wajah se, agar driver red signal ko ignore karta hai ya koi technical problem hai, to train khud ruk jaayegi. Computerized system train operation ko safe speed pe maintain karta hai, aur train ki condition ke according break automatically interlock hota hai.
