employees residing in X, Y, and Z category cities has also been increased by 30%, 20%, and 10% respectively. The arrears for these increased allowances will be paid from January onwards. The National Confederation of Railway Employees (NCREES) has welcomed this decision, as they had been demanding the increase in allowances aligned with the 50% DA implementation. The increase follows a meeting between the NCREES delegation and the General Manager of Northern Central Railway (NCR) on May 13th.
