being constructed as part of the project, totaling 3164 meters. Excavation began on February 22, 2023, and the breakthrough was achieved on June 7, 2024. The project faced challenges including fractured rock masses with water seepage and minimal cover, but these were overcome through meticulous planning and the use of advanced technology. The tunnel features ballast-less track, public refuge areas, and various safety and comfort systems. The project is expected to be completed by December 2025, enhancing connectivity and transportation efficiency in the Mumbai suburban region.
