on the route, benefitting both passengers and the railway. A third rail route is also being planned between Mahgama and Pirpainti, with the tender already released and land acquisition in progress. A new bypass track is being planned between Sabour and Gonudham, to be built as a Y-leg at 160 kmph speed. This track will be 14 km long and cost approximately 250 crores rupees. Once completed, Gonudham will be developed as a junction station, benefiting the nearby villages of Sanhaula and Jagdishpur.
